Getting to TD Garden

TD Garden is built on top of North Station, so the commuter rail and the arena are the same address — from anywhere north of Boston you get off the train and you are there. For every other line the arena publishes the transfer: which station to change at, which direction, and how many stops it is. Driving all funnels to Exit 26 and Nashua Street.

Sullivan's Tap is the traditional pre-game bar for Celtics games. It is a dive, but that is part of the appeal. Wear lots of green and get there early enough to watch warmups. The sports museum tour inside the Garden has cool memorabilia too.
The passageway under Causeway Street links commuter rail to the subway without going outside.
Southside commuter lines split: Old Colony and Fairmont change at South Station, everything else at Back Bay onto the Orange Line.
North Station is the arena — from the north, the commuter rail puts you at the door.
Every driving route converges on Exit 26 and Nashua Street.
From Logan it is the Blue Line inbound four stops, then the Green Line eastbound two.
From the Red Line change at Park Street (three stops on the Green eastbound); from the Blue, at Government Center (two stops).

- From the north, I-93S to Exit 26 for Leverett Circle/Cambridge, follow signs to North Station, right onto Nashua Street then left at Lomasney Way. From eastern New Hampshire and northeastern Massachusetts, I-95S to Route 1S over the Tobin Bridge, follow Storrow Drive/Cambridge signs and stay right for the Nashua Street exit. From the south, I-95N to I-93N and the 93N tunnel, Exit 26 for Storrow Drive, stay left for North Station and right onto Nashua Street. From the west, the Mass Pike east to I-93N and the same Exit 26. From Back Bay, left onto Berkeley Street, right onto Storrow Drive East, right onto Martha Road/Nashua Street and left onto Causeway Street. From Logan, follow Sumner Tunnel signs toward Boston and stay right for the Storrow Drive/Cambridge ramp. The arena is at 100 Legends Way.
- Public Transit
- The MBTA Commuter Rail from points north runs directly into North Station, which is the same location as the arena. From the south, west and east, the Old Colony and Fairmont lines require changing at South Station; all other southside lines go to Back Bay, then the Orange Line direct to North Station. On the subway, the Green and Orange Lines both stop at North Station — enter at the East or West entrance. From the Red Line, change at Park Street to the Green Line eastbound, three stops. From the Blue Line, change at Government Center to the Green Line eastbound, two stops. From Logan Airport, the Blue Line inbound four stops to Government Center, then the Green Line eastbound two stops.
- Rideshare
- Uber/Lyft drop-off is on Causeway Street near the main entrance. Post-game pickup is on Legends Way. Expect 10-15 minute surge waits after games. Walk toward Haymarket for faster pickup and lower surge.
- Walking
- A newer MBTA passageway links North Station's commuter rail platforms to the subway station beneath Causeway Street, so the change between them no longer means going outside.
