TD Garden has upgraded its concessions significantly in recent years, and its published stand directory shows where Boston actually turns up: New England clam chowder, fish and chips and coconut shrimp at Boston Common on Level 4, Kayem hot dogs and Italian sausage at Hub Hot Dog, Sal's Pizza by the slice, a corned beef Rueben at the Causeway Carvery, and Sam Adams pouring at its own Brewhouse. A Garden Grill on Level 4 is built for allergen-friendly eating. The arena publishes no item prices, only a $5 Value Menu of select items at Hub Hot Dog. The surrounding North End offers some of the best pregame dining in the NBA.
Tips & Fan Reports
Eat before you go. The food at TD Garden is overpriced and not great. Wander around the concourse to see what is available but honestly your best move is eating at a restaurant beforehand.
Both concourses are well fed: Level 4 has Boston Common, Sal's Pizza, the Taqueria and the allergen-friendly Garden Grill, while Level 7 carries Back Bay BBQ, Big Bad Burger, the Causeway Carvery and the Craft Beer Garden.
Post-game, skip the arena food and walk to the North End for a late Italian meal and cannoli.
The clam chowder at TD Garden is legitimately good, not just arena-food-good.
Sam Adams is brewed in Boston, the local drafts are fresh and well-priced by arena standards.
Mobile ordering is available via the TD Garden app for faster pickup at select concessions.
The North End is a 10-minute walk and has better food at better prices than anything inside the arena.
