Know Before You Go
- Bag policy
Bags, wallets, clutches, fanny packs, and clear bags must be smaller than 4 x 6 x 1.5 inches.
Diaper or parenting bags and medical bags required for dietary or medical needs must be smaller than 16 x 16 x 8 inches and are inspected at entry.
- Gate opening
Comerica Park public gates normally open approximately one hour and 40 minutes before the scheduled game time unless otherwise advertised.
The published schedule opens 6:40 p.m. games at 5:10 p.m.; hospitality and premium areas open 30 minutes before public gates for most games.
- Mobile tickets
Tickets retrieved through the MLB Ballpark app must be displayed on a mobile device and scanned for entry.
Print-at-home tickets are not accepted; load tickets before arrival or add them to Apple Wallet for access during low connectivity.
- Re-entry
Comerica Park does not permit re-entry after a guest exits.
- Prohibited items
Comerica Park prohibits weapons, explosives, drones, coolers, glass or metal containers, large bags, laser pointers, and video or sound-recording devices.
Bats, poles, clubs, selfie sticks, inflatables, folding chairs, marijuana, illegal narcotics, and related paraphernalia are also prohibited; review the official list before arrival.
- First aid
First Aid stations are on the main concourse behind Section 140 and on the 300 Level concourse behind Section 331.
For immediate medical attention, contact the nearest Event Colleague.
- Nursing and lactation
Public Mamava nursing pods are outside Section 210 behind its Guest Services kiosk and on the main concourse outside Section 130 by the main Guest Services office.
Guests may get an access code from Guest Services or unlock an available pod with the Mamava app.
- Family restrooms
Family Assist Restrooms are at Sections 119, 139, 210, 321, and 342.
A universal changing table is in the Family Assist Restroom near Section 210, next to the 200-Level Guest Services kiosk.
- Tickets for children
Guests age 4 or older need a ticket; children age 3 or younger may sit on a ticketed guest's lap without obstructing another guest's view.
- Guest services
Guest Services offices are near Section 131, the Rocket Mortgage Entry, and Sections 210 and 330.
For in-venue help, text SECURITY followed by the section and an explanation to 39844.
- Service animals
Service animals are allowed at Comerica Park, but emotional-support animals are not.
The pet-relief area is outside the Rocket Entry at Grand Circus Park.
- Smoking and vaping
Smoking, smokeless tobacco, cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vaping devices, cigars, and marijuana are prohibited throughout Comerica Park.
There is no re-entry for guests who leave the venue.

What the day looks like at Comerica Park, hour by hour.
Arrive in downtown Detroit
Drive or take the QLine to the ballpark area. Park in official lots or Greektown garages.
Pregame in Greektown or on Woodward
Greektown has Greek restaurants and bars. Hockeytown Cafe and Grand Trunk Pub on Woodward are closer options.
Enter Comerica Park
Walk past the tiger sculptures. Let the kids ride the Ferris wheel and carousel.
Watch batting practice
Head to lower outfield. The deep center field (420 feet) makes home runs during BP a challenge.
Find your seat
Settle in with a Coney dog and a craft beer. The Detroit skyline makes a beautiful backdrop.
Play ball
Nine innings of Tigers baseball. The tiger eyes on the center field scoreboard light up for Tigers home runs.
Stand up and stretch
Grab a final Detroit-style pizza slice or Coney dog.
Greektown or Woodward Avenue
Greektown is 10 minutes for late-night dining. Bars on Woodward stay open.
Tips & Fan Reports
Get there a little early and take a stroll inside the park. Maybe you will even get a ball thrown to you. Comerica Park has a gorgeous backdrop and is great for pictures. Try a coney before the game.
The tiger sculptures at the main entrance are iconic, the biggest is 15 feet tall.
Comerica Park's outfield is a mini-amusement park with a carousel and Ferris wheel. Great for families.

QLine streetcar ($1.50) runs right down Woodward to both Comerica Park and Little Caesars Arena.
The District Detroit (Woodward Ave) connects Comerica to Little Caesars Arena. Walk between venues for same-day sports.
The QLine streetcar on Woodward has a stop right at the ballpark.
No tailgating in any parking facility, and no in-and-out either. Park once and go in.
For an ordinary game the pregame is downtown Detroit rather than anything at the car.
Parking opens about two hours out and the gates twenty minutes later, so there is little waiting around.
Before the Game
Tailgating is not allowed in any Comerica Park parking facility, and neither are in-and-out privileges, so once the car is parked, that is where it stays and nothing happens beside it. The club's own answer is to move the tailgate off-site for big occasions: the Opening Day Tailgate Party runs free at Grand Circus Park from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m., with beer, DJs, food trucks, games and a live stream of the game. Parking facility access is generally two hours before game time, and the ballpark gates open about one hour and forty minutes before the scheduled start.
