Tropicana Field's food has improved in recent years, with Tampa Bay regional specialties joining the standard ballpark fare. The Cuban sandwich, a Tampa Bay staple, is the signature item. Grouper sandwiches, BBQ nachos, and local craft beer from Cigar City and 3 Daughters are available. Prices are among the most reasonable in MLB, fitting the Rays' value-oriented approach. Outside the dome, the EDGE District and downtown St. Pete offer a vibrant food scene within walking distance.
Tips & Fan Reports
Central Ave has a lot of great spots for pre and post game. Ferg's is the hot spot. The Budweiser Porch inside the stadium has the best food spots. Obviously see the rays tank because they are adorable.
The Cuban sandwich is the must-eat item, Tampa Bay invented it, and the in-stadium version is solid.
The Budweiser Porch in center field is where St. Pete's restaurants live: Pacific Counter's poke and musubi, Melted's short rib grilled cheese, and the Cubano Dog.
Grouper sandwich is a Florida Gulf Coast specialty. Fresh and worth trying if you're visiting from out of state.
3 Daughters Beach Blonde Ale, brewed a mile from the Trop, is the named local pour, and the Budweiser Porch bars carry the Bay Area craft list.
3 Daughters Brewing and the Central Avenue food scene are better than in-stadium options. Eat and drink before entering.
Concession prices at the Trop are among the lowest in MLB. Hot dogs at $5 and domestic beers at $10 are genuine values.

- Venue payments
Tropicana Field is cashless and accepts credit cards, debit cards, and Rays Wallet for concessions, merchandise, and parking.
Reverse ATMs are across from the Gate 3 Guest Services desk and in the Third Base Food Hall.
- Outside food and drink
Outside food and drinks are prohibited, except one sealed water bottle of 20 ounces or less or one empty plastic bottle or cup per ticketed fan.
Exceptions may be made for food needed for medical reasons or childcare.
- Dietary options
The Rays publish an allergen grid and identify gluten-free, gluten-friendly, and vegan concession choices.
Gluten-Free Favorites is on RF Street at Section 148, and Udi's gluten-free hamburger and hot dog rolls are available by request at other concession stands. Additional allergen information is available at Guest Services at Gates 1 and 3 and at concession stands.
- Alcohol sales cutoff
Alcohol sales stop in the middle of the eighth inning.
Purchases are limited to two alcoholic beverages per person per transaction.
