Tropicana Field offers prepaid parking in Lots 2, 3, 5 and 6 until six hours before first pitch. Lot 1 is premium parking and Lots 6 and 7 are general lots. Game-day parking is cashless, and downtown overflow lots are independently operated.

What fans who park here actually do, and what it cost them.
If the main gates are crowded go to Gate 7. It enters directly to the Sports Bar and there is usually no line. Exit Gate 7 after the game and walk through the tunnel to pop up at Ferg's on Central Ave.
SunRunner stops north of the ballpark every 15 minutes from 6am to 8pm, then every 30 minutes until midnight.
If the Rays' lots sell out, downtown overflow lots set their own rates and refund policies: the club does not control them.
The SunRunner stops on the north side of the ballpark and runs to midnight, the rare venue where transit outlasts the game.
Rideshare drop-off is Gate 4; ADA guests may use Gate 1 or Gate 4.
Wheelchair accessible parking is mostly in Lot 7, entered from 3rd Ave South or 4th Ave South, with a drop-off in front of Gate 4.
Prepaid parking closes six hours before first pitch; after that it is drive-up only, card not cash.

Parking Rules
What the pass covers, what gets turned away, and the lots that run on their own rules.
Your Pass
- Prepaid parking for Lots 2, 3, 5 and 6 closes six hours before first pitch. After that your only option is driving up and hoping.
- Lots open two and a half hours before first pitch Monday to Friday, and three hours before on Saturdays and Sundays.
- Gameday parking takes credit or debit cards. Cash is not accepted anywhere.
- Lot 1 is premium parking, worth it mainly if you are sitting in a premium area or behind home plate. Lots 6 and 7 are the general lots.
- The lots marked "Overflow Parking" downtown are not the Rays' operations. The club sets none of their rates, rules or refund policies. Take those up with the operator.
- Two downtown garages are worth knowing by name. The SouthCore Garage at 101 1st Ave S has a 6'10" clearance, EV charging on levels 3 and 7, and takes cash at its pay machines. The Central Garage at 1388 1st Ave N has a taller 7'8" clearance, free EV charging on levels 3 and 4, and is card-only.
Accessible Parking
Accessible parking sits just outside the gates in Lots 1 and 7, with most of it in Lot 7 and all of it van-accessible. One thing to know before you plan a drop-off: the placard holder must be in the car when it parks.
- Lots 1 and 7 both offer wheelchair accessible parking just outside the gates, with the majority of spaces in Lot 7.
- All wheelchair accessible parking is van-accessible.
- Enter Lot 7 from either 3rd Avenue South or 4th Avenue South.
- There is a drop-off area in front of Gate 4, directly across from Lot 1 on 16th Street South.
- The St. Petersburg Police Department monitors these spaces. If the placard holder is dropped off near the stadium and is not in the vehicle when it parks in an accessible space, tickets can be issued and privileges revoked.
Getting There
Tropicana Field has something most ballparks do not: a bus rapid transit stop on its own north side, running late enough to get you home. Everything else about arriving here is organised around lots that sell out: prepaid parking closes six hours before first pitch, and the Rays are explicit that overflow lots downtown are neither theirs nor their responsibility.
- Driving
- Prepaid parking covers Lots 2, 3, 5 and 6 and can be bought until six hours before first pitch. Lots open two and a half hours before first pitch Monday to Friday and three hours before at weekends. Day-of parking is card only, no cash. Lot 7 is entered from either 3rd Ave South or 4th Ave South, and the drop-off area is in front of Gate 4, directly across from Lot 1 on 16th St S.
- Public Transit
- The SunRunner bus rapid transit route has a stop on the north side of Tropicana Field. It runs every 15 minutes from 6am to 8pm and every 30 minutes from 8pm to midnight.
- Rideshare
- Tropicana Field has two rideshare pickup and drop-off locations: Lot 8 for guests entering through Gate 1, and Trop Drive on 16th Street for guests entering through Gates 4 and 5 and for accessible drop-off.

Tropicana Field parking stated at $15-$30 with prepaid recommended, by unation's fan guide and arenacapacity independently. Stored figure matches the stated floor. Downtown lot figure not re-checked.

- Transit
PSTA regular one-way is "$2.25" with a $5 daily maximum on Flamingo Fares or tap-to-pay, and the SunRunner charges the same (cash simply is not accepted on it). The Cross-Bay Ferry is flagged provisional rather than priced: the original service ended in April 2025 and PSTA’s 2026 announcement puts the revamped Tampa Bay Ferry at $10 one-way with a launch targeted for the second half of 2026, so $10 is an announced fare rather than one being charged. Whether the entry should survive at all is a content question for a human, not a price correction
