The Soul of Pittsburgh
PNC Park is widely considered the most beautiful ballpark in baseball. Sitting on the North Shore of the Allegheny River, the ballpark frames the Pittsburgh skyline — the Roberto Clemente Bridge, the downtown towers, and the river — beyond the right-field wall. The pregame walk across the Clemente Bridge (closed to traffic on game days) is one of the great experiences in American sports. Inside, the ballpark is intimate (38,747 seats — the smallest in MLB), with excellent sightlines and a passionate but relaxed fan base. Pierogies, Primanti Brothers, and Iron City Beer complete the Pittsburgh experience. Games run about 3 hours.
