Tips & Fan Reports
What fans who park here actually do, and what it cost them.
Park downtown and walk or take the T to PNC Park. There are no cup holders for seats in the 300 level which surprises people but it is not a big deal. The 300s still have a great view and don't feel as high up as other parks.
Post-game traffic on the North Shore backs up at the I-279 on-ramps. Walk across the bridge and let it clear.
Some North Shore lots allow low-key tailgating with portable grills. Check the lot rules before setting up.
North Shore lots fill early for weekend and rivalry games. Pre-book online or arrive 2+ hours early.
Park downtown and walk across the Roberto Clemente Bridge. It's the best way to arrive at PNC Park.
The T is free in the downtown zone. Ride from Station Square or any downtown stop to Allegheny for free.

How We Checked This Page
Every section below names the source it was read from and the day it was read. Where we could not reach a published figure, the page says so rather than presenting an estimate as a checked fact.
- Parking prices
Alco Parking, the operator of the North Shore facilities serving PNC Park, publishes a full rate card for Pirates games with a $15 floor (Gold 1 Garage) and $20 across most of the North Shore. Both costs.parking figures are confirmed against it and neither moves. Applied to carry the verified $15 onto the parking page's lot list, which was showing $10 for the same lots under the name "North Shore / Allegheny Lots" — a figure that appears nowhere on the operator's card.
