Pro tip - you can drink on the Caltrain. Grab a tallboy and enjoy the ride in if you are coming from outside San Jose. The future is bright here and the fans are real.
Caltrain serves Diridon Station across the street; VTA light rail serves nearby Diridon and San Fernando/Delmas stations.
Lots typically open two hours before events.
On-site parking is entered from Santa Clara Street or Julian Street; about 1,500 spaces beside the arena and 3,000 within a third of a mile.
The last two weekday Caltrains leave Diridon at 10:30pm and 11:12pm. Check them against a late finish before you travel.
ACE runs from the Central Valley and Capitol Corridor from the Sacramento corridor, both into Diridon.
Diridon Station is across the street from the arena and is served by four operators.

- Caltrain to Diridon Station (from San Francisco, 4 zones) · $10.75 · Caltrain from San Francisco or Peninsula stops at Diridon, adjacent to SAP Center. A 5-minute walk.

Your Pass

- Sharks season ticket holders can buy prepaid parking before the season, guaranteeing a space in the main on-site ABC Lot.
- Pre-paid parking is otherwise reserved through SpotHero.
Getting There
SAP Center is across the street from San Jose Diridon Station, which is served by Caltrain, ACE, Capitol Corridor and VTA light rail, four operators reaching one station opposite the arena. The Sharks publish the last two Caltrain departures, which is the fact a fan needs and few venues bother to give.
- Driving
- The arena is at 525 W Santa Clara St. Over 3,000 parking spaces sit within a third of a mile, of which about 1,500 are on-site in the large lot beside the arena, entered from either Santa Clara Street or Julian Street.
- Public Transit
- San Jose Diridon Station is across the street from the arena. Caltrain serves it, with the last two weekday departures from Diridon at 10:30pm and 11:12pm. ACE reaches Diridon from Stockton, Tracy, Livermore, Pleasanton, Fremont and Santa Clara, and Capitol Corridor from Auburn, Sacramento, Davis, Martinez, Richmond, Berkeley, Oakland, Hayward and Fremont/Centerville. VTA's Vasona light rail connects Campbell to the arena and on to downtown, north to Mountain View and south to Santa Teresa, with a station near Diridon and another on San Fernando Street at Delmas Avenue. VTA buses serve the Diridon Station area.

Caltrain is zoned -- 1 Zone $4.00, 2 Zones $6.25, 3 Zones $8.50, 4 Zones $10.75 -- and San Jose Diridon is Zone 4 against San Francisco’s Zone 1, so the full-length trip is four zones. The stored $5 is not a Caltrain fare at any zone count; the entry now names where the rider starts
