What to Expect
Gillette Stadium is located in Foxborough, Massachusetts, about 30 miles southwest of downtown Boston. The stadium sits within Patriot Place, a massive outdoor shopping and entertainment complex that makes game day an all-day experience. Plan to arrive early to enjoy tailgating, explore the shops, and soak in the electric atmosphere of one of the NFL's most passionate fanbases.

Game Day
Get to the lot at least 4 hours before kickoff. The parking lot opens 4 hours prior. Bring a grill and cook - stadium food is pricey and the tailgate scene is the best part.
Wear very warm socks for late-season games. Even if you dress warm up top, your feet will be numb by the 4th quarter. It's brutal pulling out of the lot after the game too - plan to wait.
Enter by 11:45 and you will avoid lines at the metal detectors and ticket scanning. You can then find an open seat in the 100s and watch warmups. Remember the color of the line you follow to get in.
Parking & Directions
Park before you reach the stadium on Route 1, don't go past it. There are private lots and the Dunkin' Donuts lot about a minute past the stadium that regulars use.
Boston Common Coach runs a bus from downtown Boston to Gillette. $80 a ticket but the bus gets you there 3 hours early with seating and coolers for tailgating (BYOB) and gets you back downtown.
If you don't tailgate, get an edge/perimeter parking row so you can set up and break down easily, and you'll be closer to the walking paths to the stadium.
Food & Drinks
The restaurants at Patriot Place will be mobbed on game day. Don't count on getting into those unless you arrive very early. Bringing food and tailgating in the lot works best.
All concessions inside Gillette are cashless, credit/debit cards and mobile pay only.
The lobster roll is the must-try signature item, expensive but worth it for the New England experience.
Seating
If you sit in the 100 level try to be about 20 rows back. Usually cheaper than front row and you get the best of both worlds - better view and still really close to the field.
Gillette runs two concourses, not three: the Main serves both the 100 and 200 levels, the Upper serves the 300s. A 200-level ticket therefore shares the better concourse with the lower bowl.
The Optum Field Lounge is at field level in the south end zone with its own VIP entrance and a terrace onto the field.
General
Check the bag policy before you go - they're strict. Nothing worse than having to toss your stuff at the gate.

Gillette Stadium permits a clear bag no larger than 12 x 12 x 6 inches, a one-gallon clear freezer bag no larger than 11 x 11 inches, or a wristlet or handheld wallet no larger than 6.5 x 4.5 inches.
Medical or dietary exceptions should be requested by email at least 48 hours before the event.
- Gate opening
General Patriots gates open two hours before kickoff.
Most premium spaces open three hours before kickoff, while the Sports Illustrated Pavilion opens two and a half hours before kickoff.
- Venue payments
Gillette Stadium is cashless and accepts contactless payment inside the venue.
Five cash-to-card kiosks convert cash to Visa prepaid cards; there are no conventional ATMs in the stadium.
- Re-entry
Gillette Stadium does not permit stadium re-entry at Patriots games after a guest exits.
Parking lots also have no re-entry and do not issue refunds.
