Know Before You Go
- Bag policy
Bags, backpacks, purses, totes, clear bags, fanny packs, and camera bags are prohibited; clutches and wallets smaller than 5 x 9 x 1 inches are permitted after inspection.
Medical and parental bags smaller than 14 x 14 x 6 inches must pass X-ray screening.
- Bag storage
Binbox lockers next to the Kobe Bryant Entrance and LA Kings Monument start at $15 per checked bag.
Lockers accept debit cards, credit cards, Apple Pay, and Google Pay but not cash. Bag check opens one hour before general doors and closes one hour after the event.
- Gate opening
Door times vary by event and are listed on the individual event page.
- Mobile tickets
AXS Mobile ID in the AXS app is the standard entry method, and screenshots or printed mobile QR codes are not accepted.
Guests without a smartphone may use the credit card used to buy the tickets, subject to the AXS entry instructions.
- Re-entry
Guests who need to leave and return must arrange an exit scan with Guest Services before leaving.
On return, the guest must repeat security screening and ticket scanning with a valid ticket.
- Prohibited items
The arena prohibits most bags, weapons, knives, pepper spray, chemical devices, noisemakers, laser pointers, fireworks, alcohol and illegal drugs, outside food and drink, coolers, professional cameras, recording devices, laptops, tablets, tripods, selfie sticks, and other listed items.
Review the current official list because event-specific restrictions can change.
- First aid
First Aid offices are across from Aisle M3 on the Main Concourse and Aisle U22 on the Upper Concourse.
Emergency medical technicians are present at every event; ask Guest Services or Security for help.
- Nursing and lactation
Five Mamava lactation pods for nursing or pumping are distributed across the Main Concourse, Premium Level A, and Upper Concourse.
Use the free Mamava app to access a pod.
- Family restrooms
All-gender restrooms with changing tables are across from Aisles M23 and U31 and across from Suites A1, B1, and C3.
Changing tables are also available in men's and women's restrooms on every level.
- Tickets for children
Children age 2 and younger do not need a Lakers ticket but must sit on an adult's lap and may not occupy a seat.
Children age 3 and older need their own ticket and must use the ticketed seat.
- Guest services
Guest Services Centers are across from Aisle M12 on the Main Concourse and Aisle U6 on the Upper Concourse.
During an event, text the issue and location to 213-616-9950.
- Service animals
Trained service animals and service animals in training are permitted and must remain leashed or harnessed in the guest's seating area.
Speak with a Guest Services supervisor before taking a service animal outside for relief.
- Smoking and vaping
Smoking, electronic cigarettes, and smokeless tobacco are prohibited throughout the arena, including outdoor patios and terraces.

Arrive at L.A. Live
Secure parking or arrive via Metro. Explore the L.A. Live campus, restaurants, bars, and the Grammy Museum are all here.
Pregame dining
Grab dinner at Yard House, Katsuya, or Tom's Watch Bar on the L.A. Live plaza. Reservations recommended on game nights.
Doors open
Enter the arena to watch shootaround and warm-ups. Check out the Lakers team store near the main entrance.
Find your seat
The arena fills quickly for marquee games. Settle in and enjoy the light show and video intros.
Game time
Lakers games are a full production. Expect celebrity sightings, the Laker Girls, and a packed house. Total game time is about 2-2.5 hours.
Halftime break
Hit the concourse for food and drinks. Lines are long at premium stands, the upper-level vendors move faster.
Post-game scene
The L.A. Live bars and restaurants stay packed after the final buzzer. Alternatively, walk south on Figueroa for a quieter exit toward the Convention Center lots.
Tips & Fan Reports
Doors open 1.5 hours before tipoff for everyone and 2 hours for courtside seats. Go early and visit the team store or just walk around the arena to take photos. LA Live next door has tons of food options.
L.A. Live plaza has free outdoor screens showing pre-game coverage - grab a drink and watch before heading inside.
Halftime lines are long. Buy food during the first or third quarter.
The arena concourse gets packed at halftime. Hit food stands during the 1st or 3rd quarter for shorter lines.
Arrive early, DTLA traffic is brutal on game nights, especially for 7:30 PM tip-offs.
Uber/Lyft pickup is at the Convention Center lot on Pico. Walking there avoids the garage exit crush.
Celebrity sightings are common courtside. Jack Nicholson's old seat is a landmark.
There is no tailgating to plan. It is prohibited across every L.A. LIVE and arena lot.
Medical and parental bags are allowed up to 14x14x6 but go through X-ray, so allow extra time.
If you must bring a bag, budget for a Binbox locker by the Kobe Bryant Entrance and have the app installed before you arrive.

The rule that actually shapes the trip is the bag policy, which is among the strictest anywhere: backpacks, purses, totes, fanny packs, camera bags and even clear bags are all refused, leaving clutches and wallets under 5 by 9 by 1 inches as the only thing that passes. Medical and parental bags up to 14 by 14 by 6 are admitted but must go through X-ray. Anything larger has to go into a Binbox locker beside the Kobe Bryant Entrance, next to the LA Kings Monument, rented through the Binbox app.

The parking lots serving the arena and the L.A. LIVE complex on South Figueroa Street. Tailgating is prohibited in all of them, so a space here is parking and nothing else.

Rentable lockers on the South Figueroa Street side of the arena, beside the Kobe Bryant Entrance next to the LA Kings Monument, booked and paid for through the Binbox app. The only route in for anyone carrying a bag over the size limit.
