Madison Square Garden has a unique circular design with four levels: the 100-level lower bowl, the 200-level (including the Chase Bridge suspended over center court), the 300-level mezzanine, and the 400-level upper balcony. With 19,812 seats, it's a mid-sized NBA arena but the steep, vertical bowl makes it feel intimate and loud. The Garden's acoustics amplify crowd noise — when the Knicks are rolling, it's one of the loudest buildings in basketball.

Premium Seating Sections

Each section offers a distinct vantage point. Choose based on your priorities: proximity, comfort, atmosphere, or value.

Courtside / Floor Seats

$1,500 - $5,000+

The most famous courtside seats in basketball. Spike Lee's spot at the scorer's table is an NYC landmark. You're feet from the players.

The Pros

  • Iconic, celebrity-adjacent experience
  • Closest possible view of NBA basketball
  • Exclusive access to the Madison Club

The Cons

  • Astronomically expensive — the priciest courtside in the NBA
  • Extremely limited availability
  • Low angle limits full-court perspective

Lower Bowl Sideline (100-Level)

$350 - $800

Elevated sideline seats with perfect sightlines. Close enough to hear the players and feel the energy.

The Pros

  • Best balance of proximity and perspective at MSG
  • Great for watching plays develop
  • Access to premium concourse food

The Cons

  • Very expensive — Knicks command the highest prices in the NBA
  • Baseline 100s are cheaper for similar proximity

Lower Bowl Baseline (100-Level)

$200 - $450

Behind the basket in the lower bowl. Great for dunks and fast breaks. Near the player tunnel.

The Pros

  • More affordable than sideline 100s
  • Exciting angle for fast breaks
  • Close to player entrance and bench

The Cons

  • Far-end plays are harder to see
  • Some seats have stanchion obstruction

Mezzanine (200/300-Level)

$150 - $350

Mid-level seats including the Chase Bridge (a catwalk of seats suspended directly above center court). The bridge is a unique MSG experience.

The Pros

  • Chase Bridge offers a one-of-a-kind aerial view
  • Good sightlines at mid-tier pricing
  • Less crowded concourse

The Cons

  • Chase Bridge seats can feel vertiginous
  • Some 300-level corners have restricted views

Upper Balcony (400-Level)

$80 - $175

The Garden's upper reaches. Steep and high, but the circular design keeps you above the court, not pushed back from it.

The Pros

  • Most affordable Knicks tickets (still pricey by NBA standards)
  • Passionate, vocal fan section
  • Full-court bird's-eye view

The Cons

  • Steep climb to seats — the 400s are high
  • Players are small from this distance
  • The cheapest Knicks seats are still expensive
