Know Before You Go
- Bag policy
All bags, purses, and diaper bags must be no larger than 14 x 14 x 6 inches and fit under the seat.
Bags larger than 6 x 9 x 1 inches, including diaper and medical bags, must use the designated X-ray lane. Clear bags are still inspected, and backpacks of any size are prohibited.
- Gate opening
For Monday through Thursday Cavaliers games, general doors open 75 minutes before tipoff and Atrium doors open 90 minutes before.
For Friday through Sunday games, general doors open 90 minutes before tipoff and Atrium doors open two hours before. Doubleheaders with a Monsters game first use 60-minute general doors and a 90-minute Atrium opening.
- Mobile tickets
Cavaliers digital tickets can be accessed in the Cavaliers or SeatGeek app; ticket screenshots are prohibited.
Tickets can be transferred through desktop, mobile web, or the app to an email address or mobile number.
- Re-entry
Rocket Arena does not permit re-entry after a ticket is scanned, except for documented medical emergencies.
- Prohibited items
Prohibited items include aerosols, recording devices, backpacks and oversized bags, sealed packages, balloons, bats and clubs, bottles and cans, coolers, professional cameras, drones, fireworks, flags, lasers, long chains, illegal substances, explicit signs or clothing, and weapons including pepper spray and knives.
The list is not exhaustive; security may reject other dangerous items. Check the event's Know Before You Go message because some rules are event-specific.
- First aid
Registered nurses staff first-aid stations on the Street Level near Portal 14 and Loudville Level near Portal 66.
A City of Cleveland paramedic unit is on site for every event; notify any arena team member for an immediate response.
- Nursing and lactation
A nursing room is inside the Quiet Space on Stratus Founders Level off the Northwest Elevators.
Guests may also nurse in an authorized public location or a family restroom. Ask an Experience Engineer for access or directions; breast pumps are permitted.
- Family restrooms
Family restrooms are on the Event Level, Stratus Founders Level, Street Level near First Aid at Portal 14, Huntington Club Level, and Loudville Level by Portal 64.
Baby-changing stations are available in most public restrooms. Two additional gender-inclusive restrooms are near Street Level Portals 29-30 and Loudville Portals 58-59.
- Tickets for children
Children younger than 2 may enter without a ticket if they remain on a ticketed adult's lap; children age 2 and older need a ticket.
- Guest services
Solutions Hubs are near Portal 1 on the Street Level and Portal 52 on Loudville Level.
For text-based assistance before or during a visit, message 216-379-4573; replies are available during business hours and from five hours before an event through its conclusion.
- Service animals
Trained guide dogs and service animals are welcome; emotional-support animals are prohibited.
Service animals must remain on a leash or in a harness at all times.
- Smoking and vaping
Cigarettes, e-cigarettes, vapes, and smokeless tobacco are prohibited inside Rocket Arena and in the areas immediately surrounding it.
There is no smoking re-entry; once a guest leaves, they cannot return except for a documented medical emergency.

Arrive in the Gateway District
Park in a nearby garage or take the RTA. Walk to East 4th Street for a pregame meal.
Pregame dining on East 4th
East 4th Street has a dozen restaurants within a 2-minute walk. Lola Bistro, Mabel's BBQ, and Flannery's Pub are top pregame picks.
Doors open
Enter the recently renovated arena and explore the new concourse. Watch warm-ups and visit the team store.
Find your seat
Settle in and enjoy the Cavs' pregame show. The renovation added massive new video boards.
Game time
The Cavs crowd has grown from the LeBron era into a strong, consistent fan base. Games run about 2-2.5 hours.
Halftime break
Hit the renovated concourse for pierogis, kielbasa, and Great Lakes Brewing beers.
Post-game scene
Walk back to East 4th Street for postgame drinks, or head to the Flats for waterfront nightlife.
Tips & Fan Reports
Aim to arrive an hour before tip-off especially for popular matchups. The arena gets packed fast for big games and you want time to walk the concourse and grab food before the rush.
Cavs tickets are among the most affordable in the NBA, great value for a quality experience.
Progressive Field (Guardians) is next door if you want to catch a doubleheader in the Gateway District.
East 4th Street (3 min walk) has the best pregame restaurant row in the NBA. Make a reservation for popular spots.
The Q (Rocket Arena) was fully renovated in 2019 - much better concourse flow than the old layout.

Before the Game
Rocket Arena sits at 1 Center Court in Cleveland's Gateway District, on the corner of Ontario Street and Huron Road, and publishes no tailgating policy. Its two on-site garages, Great Day Improvements and JACK Cleveland Casino, hold 3,300 cars between them, both with passenger elevators to ground level, and the Great Day garage has a bridge running directly into the building. Doors run on a weekday/weekend split: 75 minutes before tip-off Monday to Thursday with the Atrium at 90, and 90 minutes Friday to Sunday with the Atrium at two hours. Backpacks are refused at any size; purses and diaper bags up to 14 by 14 by 6 inches are fine.

One of two on-site garages, with a connecting bridge running directly into the arena, the option that keeps you out of a Cleveland winter entirely. The same garage serves Progressive Field next door.

What Rocket Arena allows before the game, and what it does not.
- Purses and diaper bags 14" x 14" x 6" or smaller are permitted, subject to inspection by security.
- Backpacks of any size are not permitted, nor are bags and purses larger than 14" x 14" x 6", nor any bag that does not fit under your seat without blocking the aisle.
- Door times for Cavaliers games Monday to Thursday are 75 minutes prior to tip-off, with Atrium doors opening 90 minutes before. For Friday to Sunday games doors open 90 minutes prior, with Atrium doors two hours before.
