Yankee Stadium is in the Bronx. 4/B/D subway to 161st Street-Yankee Stadium station is right at the ballpark. Metro-North Railroad runs game-day service. Driving is expensive ($25-45). Stan's Sports Bar across the street is the classic pregame spot.
Tips & Fan Reports
What fans who park here actually do, and what it cost them.
The Major Deegan Expressway (I-87) backs up badly starting 90 minutes before first pitch. Budget extra time.
Rideshare drop-off is on East 161st Street near Gate 6. Post-game pickup is chaotic. Walk a few blocks for faster service.
If driving, pre-book via SpotHero or the Yankees website. Walk-up prices are $10-20 more on premium game nights.
Take the subway. The 4/B/D to 161st Street is across the street. It's faster, cheaper, and less stressful than driving.
Street parking in the surrounding Bronx neighborhoods is technically free but risky. Read all signs carefully.

New York Yankees Car Gear
Window flags, plate frames, and decals to fly New York Yankees colors in the lot.

How We Checked This Page
Every section below names the source it was read from and the day it was read. Where we could not reach a published figure, the page says so rather than presenting an estimate as a checked fact.
- Parking prices
City Parking, the operator of the Yankee Stadium garages, publishes $49 Self Park at all four numbered facilities (161st Street, Gerard Avenue, River Avenue, Ruppert Plaza). Supersedes a third-party guide's '$25 prepaid / $35 drive-up', which was used in the morning only because mlb.com was refusing fetches; $35 appears nowhere on the operator's site. A per-event reservation discount may exist but is not a published rate and could not be read. The Bronx-lot entry is a different off-site product and was not re-checked.
