Nationals Park features DC-specific food, the half-smoke (a smoked sausage unique to Washington), Chesapeake crab cakes, and jumbo-slice pizza. Ben's Chili Bowl, the legendary U Street institution, has a stand inside the park. DC's craft beer scene is represented by DC Brau, Atlas, and Bluejacket. The Navy Yard neighborhood offers excellent seafood and breweries within walking distance.
Tips & Fan Reports
The Nationals have the most liberal outside food policy in professional sports. You can bring anything that fits in a clear 16 inch bag plus sealed water bottles. Save a ton of money this way.
Roaring Rooster inside the park is solid if you want to eat inside. Otherwise eat outside at one of the Navy Yard restaurants before the game and just bring snacks in with you.
Chesapeake crab cake is excellent, real crab with minimal filler. The Chesapeake Crab Cake Company stand is at Section 109 on the main concourse.
The half-smoke from Ben's Chili Bowl is the must-eat item, DC's signature sausage with chili. Available inside the park.
Old Bay seasoned fries are a Chesapeake region staple. Available at multiple stands.
The Navy Yard restaurants are better and cheaper than in-park options for a sit-down pregame meal.
Bluejacket brewery is walking distance and has better beer than anything inside the park. Go pregame.
DC Brau is the default local craft beer. The Public is their flagship pale ale, light and drinkable.

- Drink prices
A real correction, not a confirmation. WJLA quotes the Nationals on the 2026 change: beer was '$15.50 to $16.50' for 25 ounce, and the club is 'having more 16-ounce beer options at $9; so Budweiser, Bud Light, available throughout the ballpark'. Corroborated by r/Nationals ('16oz beers are a nice add for $9'). The stored $15 was the previous season's 25oz price carried under a 16oz label, which is both the wrong figure and the wrong unit.
