Travel
Overview

Minute Maid Park is in downtown Houston at the intersection of Texas Avenue and Crawford Street. Houston is a sprawling car city, but the METRORail Red Line makes getting to the game easy, the Convention District stop is a 5-minute walk from the gates. Driving is the most common option but I-45, I-69, and I-10 all clog starting 90 minutes before first pitch. The EaDo neighborhood east of the park is the best area to park and walk. For out-of-towners, Bush Intercontinental (IAH) and Hobby (HOU) airports are 45 and 20 minutes away, respectively.

Crowdsourced logistics and veteran shortcuts from the fan community. Every tip is voted on by fellow game-day veterans.

Tip #1

METRORail is the move, $1.25 each way and drops you 5 minutes from the gates. No parking headaches.

Tip #2

If driving from the west or north, avoid I-45 south through downtown. It's a parking lot on game nights. Use the Hardy Toll Road to I-69.

Tip #3

Hobby Airport (HOU) is only 20 minutes from the ballpark, a better option than Bush (IAH) for out-of-town fans.

Tip #4

Rideshare surge pricing kicks in right after the final out. Walk to the EaDo bars and wait 20-30 minutes for prices to drop.

Tip #5

Biking is viable, Houston BCycle stations are near the park. Lock up at the racks on Texas Avenue.

Tip #6

The Convention District METRORail stop is a 5-minute walk. Don't get off at the Downtown Transit Center, that's farther.
