There is no tailgating question at Delta Center: the arena holds no surface lot and publishes no policy on it, so the hour before a game belongs to downtown Salt Lake City. Getting there is unusually cheap — UTA TRAX is free provided you enter and exit within the Free Fare Downtown Zone, which reaches the arena. What needs planning is the bag policy, which is tight even by arena standards. Purses and bags are refused, clutches are capped at 4 by 6 by 2 inches, and the diaper and medical bags that are permitted up to 14 by 14 by 6 must come in through Door 5 on the northeast corner, the only entrance with bag X-ray.
