Know Before You Go
- Bag policy
The Caesars Superdome permits a clear bag no larger than 12 x 6 x 12 inches, a one-gallon clear freezer bag, and a clutch no larger than 6.5 x 4.5 inches.
Medically necessary items may be admitted after inspection; non-clear diaper bags are prohibited unless medically necessary.
- Gate opening
All Caesars Superdome gates open two hours before kickoff.
The Champions Square Tailgate opens three hours before kickoff for ticketed guests.
- Mobile tickets
Saints tickets and parking passes are 100% mobile and should be downloaded through the Saints or SeatGeek app before arrival.
The ticket's Personal Game Plan shows the designated entry and exit gates.
- Re-entry
Guests may not leave the Caesars Superdome's extended security perimeter and expect re-admission.
Before exiting for a medical need, service animal, or sensory break, obtain approval from the gate's Experience Ambassador or Ticket Supervisor.
- Prohibited items
The Caesars Superdome prohibits weapons, noncompliant bags, backpacks, coolers, containers, outside food and drink, drones, fireworks, noisemakers, vapes, selfie sticks, recording devices, and other listed items.
Review the live list before the game because venue management may add event-specific restrictions.
- First aid
First Aid is near Section 134 on the Plaza Level, Sections 235 and 277 on the Loge Level, and Sections 527 and 557 on the Terrace Level.
A separate Champions Square station operates near Opening Act.
- Nursing and lactation
Private nursing rooms are available on the Ground, Plaza, Loge, Lower Terrace, and Upper Terrace levels.
Published public locations include Sections 109/111, 117/119, 137/139, 145/147, 215/217, 269/271, 511/513, 521/523, 539/541, 548/551, 614, and 640.
- Family restrooms
Eleven single-user unisex restrooms are distributed across the Loge and Suite levels, with additional locations near Sections 534, 613, and 639.
Baby-changing stations are available in many men's, women's, family, and unisex restrooms on every public level.
- Tickets for children
Children younger than two do not need a ticket, but a ticket is required if the child will occupy a seat.
- Guest services
The main Guest Services Center is at Gate F Plaza, with desks at multiple gates on every public and suite level.
Guests can report an in-stadium concern by texting NOLA, a space, the issue, and their location to 69050 when the service is active.
- Service animals
ADA-qualified service animals assisting guests with disabilities are permitted; other animals are prohibited.
A relief area is in the southwest corner of the exterior plaza concourse.
- Smoking and vaping
Smoking and vaping are prohibited throughout the Caesars Superdome, including interior and exterior concourses, seating, suites, and clubs.

What the day looks like at Caesars Superdome, hour by hour.
Bourbon Street and Champions Square Peak
Bourbon Street becomes a sea of black and gold. Champions Square features live brass bands, food vendors, and the electric pregame energy that only New Orleans can produce.
Gates Open
Superdome gates open. Head inside early for shorter concession lines and to soak in the atmosphere. Grab a gumbo or po'boy before the crowd arrives.
Player Warmups
Players take the field for warmups. The lower bowl sections offer the best views. The dome acoustics amplify the growing crowd noise.
Find Your Seats
Grab your jambalaya and settle in. The pregame light show and Who Dat chant build momentum as kickoff approaches.
Game Time
WHO DAT! 73,000 fans erupt inside the dome. The fixed roof traps the noise, creating one of the loudest venues in the NFL. The Saints' entrance is pure New Orleans spectacle.
Exit Strategy
Walk to the French Quarter for post-game celebration, Bourbon Street is 15 minutes on foot. The streetcar runs late on game nights.
Tips & Fan Reports
Hit the Rouses Grocery a few blocks away and buy some canned local beers. You can bring one unopened beer into Champion Square. Grab food at the food trucks there and enjoy the live music.
Champion Square has overpriced Bud Lights but some really good food trucks and a great local band. Open parking lots between Loyola, Poydras, O'Keefe, and Gravier are about $30 for game day.
Champions Square outside the Dome has free live music, food, and drinks before every home game. It is an outdoor block party.
Bring your appetite. Gumbo, po-boys, and jambalaya inside the Dome are better than most stadium food in the NFL. New Orleans does not do bad food.
It is 72 degrees inside year-round. Do not overdress. The walk from Bourbon Street is the only part where weather matters.
Walk to the Superdome from the French Quarter. 15 minute walk and the pregame atmosphere on the streets is half the experience. Second line parades are common.
Entertainment stops 45 minutes before kickoff, so the square empties well before the game rather than right at it.
Champions Square needs a game ticket: you are screened and scanned at the gate, so it is not a walk-up for a non-attending friend.
Every garage is card-only, and there is no re-entry once you are parked.
Do not plan a lot tailgate. The Superdome permits none, and the sanctioned Champions Square Tailgate is the whole of the official pregame here.
Before the Game
Tailgating is not allowed on Champions Square property or in the Superdome parking facilities, and unauthorised tailgating is strictly prohibited. What exists instead is a sanctioned, ticketed event: the Champions Square Tailgate, which opens three hours before kickoff with entertainment finishing 45 minutes before the game. It is open only to ticketed guests, who are screened and have tickets scanned at one of two street-level entrances: LaSalle Street by Dave Dixon Drive, or Sugar Bowl Drive. Parking across the Superdome, Smoothie King Center and Champions Square complex runs to about 7,000 vehicles across seven garages and two surface lots, all card-only, with no re-entry and no overnight parking.
