Know Before You Go
- Bag policy
For Trail Blazers games, permitted bags may be no larger than 10 x 6 x 2 inches and remain with the guest during screening unless secondary inspection is required.
Medical and childcare bags may be up to 14 x 14 x 6 inches and must use designated x-ray screening locations. All permitted bags may be searched.
- Bag storage
Bag check is available at Moda Center, but prohibited items will not be accepted for checking.
The venue recommends bringing a bag within 10 x 6 x 2 inches for faster entry.
- Gate opening
General doors open 75 minutes before tipoff for regular-season Trail Blazers games.
Dr. Jack's opens three hours before tipoff.
- Mobile tickets
Trail Blazers game entry is mobile-only through the Trail Blazers and Rose Quarter app.
Ticket screenshots will not provide entry.
- Re-entry
Re-entry is not permitted for Rose Quarter events, including Trail Blazers games.
- Prohibited items
Prohibited items include oversize or hard-sided bags, weapons, mace and pepper spray, outside food or drinks, glass, umbrellas, laptops and tablets, drones, fireworks, lasers, noisemakers, poles and selfie sticks, strollers and car seats, coolers, chairs, vapes, large signs, and pets other than service animals.
Every guest is screened, and security may prohibit or confiscate other unsafe or disruptive items. Event-specific restrictions may apply.
- First aid
Moda Center first aid stations are on the 100 Level across from Entry A9 and the 300 Level across from Entry C11.
Contact the nearest staff member when medical attention is needed.
- Nursing and lactation
The Parent Room is behind the North Guest Information Booth at Entry A7 on the 100 Level.
It provides nursing chairs, a changing table, toys, and sanitary supplies for parents caring for young children.
- Family restrooms
Moda Center family restrooms are at A22 and C14, and changing tables are available in most restrooms across the campus.
- Tickets for children
Children age 2 and older need an event ticket unless the event states otherwise, and guests younger than 16 must be accompanied by an adult.
- Guest services
Guest Information Booths are on the 100 Level at the north entrance near A7 and south entrance near A24.
Text 503-486-1470 during an event for directions, questions, or to report a concern.
- Service animals
Only service animals as defined by the Americans with Disabilities Act are permitted inside Moda Center.
- Smoking and vaping
Smoking and vaping are prohibited everywhere on the Rose Quarter campus, including inside Moda Center.
A guest caught smoking inside is removed without a refund; there is no on-campus smoking area.
Game Day Timeline
What the day looks like at Moda Center, hour by hour.
Arrive at the Rose Quarter
Take MAX light rail to Rose Quarter station or park in the Rose Quarter garages. Explore the Lloyd District restaurants and nearby food carts.
Pregame dining
Grab dinner at Screen Door, Pok Pok (if open), or one of Portland's famous food cart pods. Craft beer at a nearby taproom is the Portland move.
Doors open
Enter the arena and explore the concourse. The Blazers team store has Rip City gear. Grab a Tillamook cheeseburger or craft beer.
Find your seat
Settle in for the Blazers' intro. The crowd is engaged and knowledgeable, Portland fans know basketball.
Game time
Blazers games have a passionate, knowledgeable crowd that's been loyal through rebuilds and contention alike. 'Rip City!' echoes when the home team heats up. Total game time is about 2-2.5 hours.
Halftime break
Hit the concourse for salmon tacos or Oregon craft beer. The Blazers' concession variety has improved significantly.
Post-game scene
Take MAX across the river to downtown Portland or the Pearl District for post-game drinks and Portland's famous food scene.

TriMet MAX Rose Quarter Transit Center is right at the arena door - one of the best transit setups in the NBA.

The Rose Quarter has limited dining. Cross the bridge to the Pearl District (15 min walk) for better pregame options.
Bring a rain jacket, Portland is rainy for most of the NBA season (Oct-Apr). It's not heavy rain, just constant drizzle.
Portland fans are known as some of the loudest in the NBA. The 'Rip City' energy is real even in rebuilding years.

Two MAX stations serve the district, one south and one west, so the train is straightforward here.
