Memphis is a top-5 food city in America for BBQ, hot chicken and soul food, and FedExForum brings the city's names inside rather than imitating them. Rendezvous runs stands at sections 106, 116 and 216 with BBQ nachos, BBQ sandwiches and cheese and sausage plates; Rock N' Dough sells BBQ pizza by the slice alongside cheese and pepperoni; TacoNganas has its own taco stand; Wiseacre Brewery pours its draft and cans at two bars; and Zio Matto, Memphis' own gelato maker, is by section 103. Catfish and corn dogs are on the Classics menu. The arena publishes stands and items but no prices. Outside, Beale Street and downtown offer world-class BBQ and soul food at remarkably low prices.
Tips & Fan Reports
You can get in 1 hour before tip unless you are a season ticket holder. Hit Gus's Fried Chicken before the game - it is a Memphis institution. Grab a Tiny Bomb beer inside the arena.
Arena food is among the cheapest in the NBA, though FedExForum publishes no prices, so treat any figure you see as an estimate until you are at the counter.
Rendezvous is inside the building as well as on the street, but the arena stands sell BBQ nachos, BBQ sandwiches and cheese and sausage plates, not the dry-rub ribs the restaurant is famous for. Go to the restaurant for those.
Gus's Fried Chicken downtown is a must-visit. Arrive early, the line moves fast.
Post-game, Beale Street restaurants stay open late. No rush.
Dyer's deep-fried burgers are polarizing but iconic. Try one for the story.
Memphis BBQ is the best in the world. Eat before the game at Central BBQ or Rendezvous.

The current concessions guide marks vegetarian options at Rock'n Dough near Section 109, The Grill across from Section 106, and the Food Court and Rock N' Dough across from Section 209.
