Globe Life Field Pregame Guide
Texas Rangers · Arlington, TX
Globe Life Field inverts the usual tailgating geometry. Tailgating and all its set-up — tents, grills, tables, chairs — is permitted only on the grassy areas surrounding the parking lots, never in a parking space: the spaces are for vehicles and vehicles only. It is permitted across most Rangers lots but not in Lots A, B or T. The window is generous at both ends, running from the moment the lots open through to the end of the second inning, and then again for up to an hour after the final out.
Tips & Fan Reports
Set up on the grass, not in your bay. Globe Life is explicit that parking spaces hold vehicles and nothing else.
The window runs to the end of the second inning, so there is no rush to be seated for first pitch.
Lots A, B and T permit no tailgating at all, so check the letter before buying.
There is a full hour of post-game tailgating, which beats sitting in the exit queue.
Where to Go Before the Game
The grassy areas around the lots
The only ground where a tailgate may be set up. Tents, grills, tables and chairs all go here rather than in a parking bay, because the bays are for vehicles only.

The general Rangers lots
Most of the parking around the ballpark permits tailgating on the adjacent grass. Lots typically open around 3.5 hours before first pitch with gates at 2.5 hours, though this varies by event.

Lots A, B and T
The three lots where tailgating is not allowed at all, whatever the grass beside them looks like.
Known for No tailgating · Parking only
The post-game hour
Tailgating resumes after the game and runs up to an hour past the final out, which makes the lot a way to let the Arlington traffic clear.
Known for One hour post-game · Beat the traffic
