What to Expect
Little Caesars Arena is the centerpiece of the District Detroit, a 50-block sports and entertainment district along Woodward Avenue. The arena opened in 2017 and is shared with the Red Wings (NHL). It's a modern, state-of-the-art building with a distinctive via concourse that connects to surrounding bars and restaurants. Pistons tickets are among the cheapest in the NBA, making it a great value. The District Detroit and nearby Midtown offer a growing pregame scene.

Tips & Fan Reports
Cass Tech High School Visitors Lot is one of the best kept secrets for free parking near Little Caesars Arena. Incredibly close, safe, and almost nobody knows about it.
Little Caesars Arena has a ton of cool stuff inside including Pistons history displays. Get there early to walk around and explore. The mezzanine level gives a nice elevated view if you like being higher up.
Pistons games are usually cheap and the arena is nice. Come for a weeknight game and you might have the whole section to yourself. Good way to introduce someone to basketball without breaking the bank.
There is no general admission at Red Wings or Pistons games — every ticket is a specific seat.
Parking opens three hours out and rates move with whatever else is happening in the District that night.
Portals 1-20 are on the street level concourse and 21-72 on the upper concourse, so the portal number tells you which level you are entering.
Wayfinding is by sign rather than by published route: highway, street-level and variable message signs steer traffic to the lots.
The UWM Legends Club is the ONLY club at Little Caesars Arena that overlooks the arena bowl. The Comerica Players Club, Michigan First Credit Union Club, Labatt Blue Club and Rehmann Club do not — check before buying a club ticket expecting a view.
Southbound Woodward Avenue (M-1) carries lane closures on event days — approach from another direction if you can.
Tailgating is prohibited outright in the Olympia lots — before, during and after — so the pregame here happens indoors or in the District rather than at the car.
