Ball Arena publishes a full A-Z of its stands, and the Colorado cooking is spread across them rather than concentrated in one place: Hatch green chili sausage and Polidori sausage at Colorado Social, spicy braised bison nachos and tacos at The Cantina, green chile chicken nachos and tacos beside them. Pepsi Test Kitchen runs a barbecue menu of ribs and smoked half chickens, Nola Jane brings gumbo, jambalaya and a debris po'boy, and Zero Wheat Street is a dedicated gluten-free stand with its own pizza and pasta. A $5 Fan Friendly menu runs across several counters. Denver's altitude makes hydration matter as much as the beer, and outside the arena LoDo has one of the best restaurant and brewery scenes in the country.
Tips & Fan Reports
The 14X sections are near the most interesting food on the lower level. The rest of the 100s and 300s is mostly just hotdogs and pizza. Some tickets can enter through the Breckenridge Brewery entrance.
The bison is at The Cantina, section 206, served as spicy braised bison nachos or tacos rather than as a sausage.
Colorado brewing is well represented. Breckenridge has its own Libation Station at sections 128 and 317, Left Hand and Holidaily pour at Colorado Social, and Odell is at the Codigo Lounge.
Green chile runs through the menu, but not as a burger: it is the Hatch green chili sausage at Colorado Social and the green chile chicken nachos and tacos at The Cantina, section 206.
Zero Wheat Street at section 301 is a dedicated gluten-free counter with its own pizza, pasta and cookies, not a modified version of the regular menu.
LoDo restaurants are a short walk or light rail ride, much better value and quality than arena food.
Hydrate between beers. Altitude makes alcohol hit harder and dehydration worse.
