There's no traditional parking-lot tailgating at Golden 1 Center, the arena is in an urban setting without dedicated tailgating lots. Kings fans gather at DOCO (Downtown Commons) and surrounding bars and restaurants for the pregame scene. The energy builds as game time approaches, with fans filling the streets and plazas near the arena. Check the team's website for recommended pregame spots and any official fan events.

Tailgating Protocol
No grills, coolers, or tailgating setups are permitted in parking garages or structures near Golden 1 Center.
Outside alcohol is not allowed in public plazas or the arena grounds.
The arena's clear bag policy applies at all entry gates.
No re-entry. Once you leave Golden 1 Center, you cannot return.
Follow all posted rules in parking garages; they are for vehicle parking only.
Strategic Zones
DOCO (Downtown Commons)
The entertainment complex surrounding Golden 1 Center with restaurants, bars, a movie theater, and outdoor plaza. This is the pregame hub.
Kimpton Sawyer Rooftop
The rooftop bar and pool at the Kimpton Sawyer hotel overlooks the arena and DOCO plaza. Great for a pregame drink with views.
Old Sacramento Waterfront
The historic waterfront district a few blocks west of the arena. Saloons, restaurants, and the riverfront make it a scenic pregame walk.
