Tips & Fan Reports
What fans who park here actually do, and what it cost them.
Park in the Downtown Plaza West garage at 3rd and L Street. Tell the attendant you are going to the movies and you will not get charged the Golden 1 Center event rate. This is the worst kept secret in Sacramento.
Light rail is the easiest option from the suburbs. Park at a free suburban station.
Old Sacramento lots are the cheapest and offer a scenic walk through the historic waterfront.
The DOCO garage fills early for big games. Pre-purchase or arrive 90+ minutes early.
Sacramento parking is a bargain compared to LA/SF, $10-20 gets you close.
Street parking meters downtown are free after 6 PM and weekends.

How We Checked This Page
Every section below names the source it was read from and the day it was read. Where we could not reach a published figure, the page says so rather than presenting an estimate as a checked fact.
- Parking guidance
Official Golden 1 Center directions and parking page, read 2026-08-14: pre-paid passes through SacPark, the two-hours-before to two-hours-after window, unassigned first-come spaces, pass delivery, the monthly-customer exemption, the tailgating ban in city garages, the absence of a downtown shuttle, and the city parking line. No garage names, rates, ADA rules, RV or bus policy, road closures or map are published.
- Venue policies
Current Golden 1 Center FAQ, accessibility, parking, prohibited-items, and dining pages plus official Sacramento Kings support and app guidance reviewed for Kings game-day policies.
Not yet checked against a published source
These figures are estimates. Most venues no longer publish the numbers behind them — concession and ticket pricing moved to dynamic marketplaces — so we hold them as estimates rather than dating them as verified.
- Parking prices — Never checked against a published rate: the venue's parking page, read 2026-09-05, publishes none — the garages open two hours before tipoff and passes are sold through the city's SacPark site, with no figure on the page. The 2026-07-27 figures were compiled from third-party listings (was: "Golden 1 Center 2026: no on-site parking; SacPark prepaid downtown garages $15-$30 by tier, some flat $15 prepaid, drive-up $5-$10 higher").
