Game Day Timeline
What the day looks like at Rogers Centre, hour by hour.
Arrive at Union Station
Take the TTC or GO Transit to Union Station. Walk through the SkyWalk corridor to Bremner Boulevard and the stadium area.
Pregame at Steam Whistle
Steam Whistle Brewing in the historic Roundhouse is the premier pregame spot. Cold beer, outdoor patio, and a short walk to the gates.
Enter Rogers Centre
Walk through the main gates on Bremner Boulevard. Check whether the roof is open. It's a completely different experience when the Toronto skyline is visible.
Watch batting practice
Head to the lower level outfield sections to watch BP. The flight lounge areas offer standing-room views with food and drink service.
Find your seat
Rogers Centre is large. Find your section early. The CN Tower view from the 500-level is spectacular when the roof is open.
Play ball
Nine innings of baseball in downtown Toronto. The AstroTurf surface plays faster than natural grass. Expect sharper grounders and higher bounces.
Stand up and stretch
The crowd sings 'OK Blue Jays', the team's anthem since 1983. Grab a final poutine or Caesar before the late innings.
Head into downtown Toronto
The Entertainment District on King Street West is a 10-minute walk. Bars and restaurants line the street. Or take the PATH back to Union Station.
Tips & Fan Reports
Check if the roof is open before the game. It completely changes the atmosphere. The Blue Jays open it when temperatures are above 15°C (59°F) with no rain forecast.
Prices are in Canadian dollars. American visitors get about 30% more purchasing power on tickets, food, and drinks.
Take GO Transit or the TTC, Union Station is connected to Rogers Centre via the SkyWalk. Driving downtown Toronto on game night is slow and expensive.
Real Sports Bar (attached to Scotiabank Arena, 5 min walk) is Toronto's biggest sports bar and great for pregame.
The Rogers Centre retractable roof makes it comfortable in Toronto's variable weather. Check if it's open - open-roof games are special.
The Toronto Marriott City Centre hotel is built into the stadium, some rooms overlook the field. Book months ahead for this experience.
