Know Before You Go
- Bag policy
Soft-sided bags no larger than 16 x 16 x 8 inches are permitted after inspection; bags and contents must fit in the inspection bin without adjustment.
Examples include small purses, knapsacks, diaper bags, and medical bags. Hard-sided coolers and containers are prohibited.
- Bag storage
Rogers Centre does not provide bag storage or lockers for fans.
- Gate opening
Gates open 90 minutes before first pitch on weekdays and two hours before first pitch on Saturdays and Sundays.
Gate times are subject to change.
- Mobile tickets
Blue Jays tickets are digital and must be scanned from a mobile device through the MLB Ballpark app, Blue Jays Account Manager, or Ticketmaster app.
Screenshots, paper tickets, and PDFs are not accepted. Each guest should receive an individually forwarded ticket, with exceptions for children and guests needing accessibility support.
- Re-entry
General in-and-out privileges are not permitted after a guest leaves Rogers Centre.
Fan Services may call a security supervisor to consider a special-circumstance exception.
- Prohibited items
Rogers Centre prohibits weapons, outside alcohol, hard-sided coolers, oversized bags, glass or metal bottles, laser pointers, noisemakers, fireworks, and other listed items.
Cameras with detachable lenses or lenses longer than 3 inches, selfie sticks, umbrellas longer than 12 inches, folding chairs, and most full-face masks are also prohibited; review the full official list before arrival.
- First aid
First Aid rooms are near Sections 140, 238, and 538.
Ask any Rogers Centre staff member or visit Fan Services or First Aid for assistance; physicians, registered nurses, and paramedics staff Blue Jays games.
- Nursing and lactation
The Infant Feeding Room is near Section 240 across from the Gate 13 elevator.
It has changing stations, four rocker gliders, two sinks, air conditioning, bottle warmers, complimentary diapers and wipes, disposal bins, and a television.
- Family restrooms
Multi-purpose washrooms are at Sections 140, 238, and 539, and a universal washroom is at Section 119.
The Section 119 universal washroom includes a power door, grab bars, an emergency call system, and an adult-size change table.
- Tickets for children
Children younger than 2 may attend without a ticket when seated on an accompanying adult's lap and not occupying another seat.
Guests age 2 and older need a valid ticket.
- Guest services
Fan Services is near Sections 123 and 141 on the 100 Level, Sections 212 and 236 on the 200 Level, and Sections 508 and 532 on the 500 Level.

- Service animals
Guide dogs, service animals, and qualifying support animals are welcome with acceptable disability-related documentation.
Animals must remain controlled and on a leash or harness; guests may use any gate but are encouraged to enter at Gate 7. Pets and animals without the required service or support function and documentation are not admitted.
- Smoking and vaping
Smoking, vaping, e-cigarettes, and cannabis use are prohibited throughout Rogers Centre, with no designated outdoor smoking area.
A guest who exits to smoke may not re-enter.
Game Day Timeline
What the day looks like at Rogers Centre, hour by hour.
Arrive at Union Station
Take the TTC or GO Transit to Union Station. Walk through the SkyWalk corridor to Bremner Boulevard and the stadium area.
Pregame at Steam Whistle
Steam Whistle Brewing in the historic Roundhouse is the premier pregame spot. Cold beer, outdoor patio, and a short walk to the gates.
Enter Rogers Centre
Walk through the main gates on Bremner Boulevard. Check whether the roof is open. It's a completely different experience when the Toronto skyline is visible.
Watch batting practice
Head to the lower level outfield sections to watch BP. The flight lounge areas offer standing-room views with food and drink service.
Find your seat
Rogers Centre is large. Find your section early. The CN Tower view from the 500-level is spectacular when the roof is open.
Play ball
Nine innings of baseball in downtown Toronto. The AstroTurf surface plays faster than natural grass. Expect sharper grounders and higher bounces.
Stand up and stretch
The crowd sings 'OK Blue Jays', the team's anthem since 1983. Grab a final poutine or Caesar before the late innings.
Head into downtown Toronto
The Entertainment District on King Street West is a 10-minute walk. Bars and restaurants line the street. Or take the PATH back to Union Station.
Tips & Fan Reports
Check if the roof is open before the game. It completely changes the atmosphere. The Blue Jays open it when temperatures are above 15°C (59°F) with no rain forecast.
Prices are in Canadian dollars. American visitors get about 30% more purchasing power on tickets, food, and drinks.
Take GO Transit or the TTC, Union Station is connected to Rogers Centre via the SkyWalk. Driving downtown Toronto on game night is slow and expensive.
Real Sports Bar (attached to Scotiabank Arena, 5 min walk) is Toronto's biggest sports bar and great for pregame.
The Rogers Centre retractable roof makes it comfortable in Toronto's variable weather. Check if it's open - open-roof games are special.
The Toronto Marriott City Centre hotel is built into the stadium, some rooms overlook the field. Book months ahead for this experience.
With no stadium lots, the pregame is the surrounding downtown blocks.
Weekend gates open two hours out, but the club warns gate times move.
There is no bag check here at all, so an oversized bag is a trip back to the hotel rather than a fee.
Hard-sided coolers are refused whatever their size; a soft-sided bag under 16x16x8 is the way through.
Before the Game
Rogers Centre sits under a roof in the middle of downtown Toronto with no surface lots of its own, so there is no tailgating to arrange. The pregame is the blocks around the dome. On Saturday and Sunday home games the gates open two hours before first pitch, though the club notes gate times can change. Pregame Rules
What Rogers Centre allows before the game, and what it does not.
- On Saturday and Sunday home games the gates to Rogers Centre open two hours prior to game time. Gate times are subject to change.
- Only bags smaller than 16" x 16" x 8" are permitted into the ballpark.
- Fans are discouraged from bringing bags. Soft-sided bags such as diaper bags, medical bags and small purses or knapsacks are permitted; hard-sided cooler bags and containers are not.
- No bag storage is available at the ballpark.
- The Blue Jays reserve the right to inspect any bags or articles prior to entry, and may refuse admittance of any item deemed hazardous, inappropriate, offensive or suspicious.
- Rogers Centre has no surface parking lots of its own and publishes no tailgating policy.
