Overview

There's no traditional parking-lot tailgating at Target Center, the arena is in an urban setting without dedicated tailgating lots. Timberwolves fans gather at Warehouse District (1st Avenue & Hennepin) and surrounding bars and restaurants for the pregame scene. The energy builds as game time approaches, with fans filling the streets and plazas near the arena. Check the team's website for recommended pregame spots and any official fan events.

Tailgating Protocol

No grills, coolers, or tailgating setups are permitted in parking garages or structures near Target Center.

Outside alcohol is not allowed in public plazas or the arena grounds.

The arena's clear bag policy applies at all entry gates.

No re-entry. Once you leave Target Center, you cannot return.

Follow all posted rules in parking garages; they are for vehicle parking only.

Strategic Zones

Warehouse District (1st Avenue & Hennepin)

The bars and restaurants along 1st Avenue North and Hennepin Avenue are the heart of the Minneapolis nightlife and pregame scene. Multiple sports bars, craft breweries, and restaurants within blocks of the arena.

North Loop Restaurants

The North Loop neighborhood adjacent to the Warehouse District has some of Minneapolis's best restaurants and cocktail bars. A more upscale pregame option.

Skyway System (Winter)

Minneapolis's famous enclosed Skyway system connects downtown buildings with climate-controlled walkways. In winter, you can walk from your hotel or ramp to near the arena without stepping outside.
