### Parking tips

- METRORail at $1.25 is the cheapest arena transit in the NBA. Use it.
- EaDo lots are cheap ($10) and walkable, combine with pregame at 8th Wonder Brewery.
- The Tundra Garage fills early for big games. Pre-purchase or arrive 90 minutes early.
- Post-game traffic on I-45 and I-69 is heavy. Wait 20 minutes or grab a drink at EaDo.
- If flying in, Hobby Airport is only 15 minutes by rideshare, much closer than IAH.


## Seating

Toyota Center runs three named club lounges — the Sire Spirits Social Club, the Golden Nugget Club and the Lexus Lounge — alongside its suites, and sells them through the Rockets' membership programme rather than as ordinary game tickets. The arena publishes the names and the membership route but not the inclusions or locations, so what any of them carries on a given night is worth confirming rather than assuming. The bowl itself is straightforward: a 100 level, a 200 mezzanine and a 400 upper ring.

## Getting There

Toyota Center publishes six driving routes and five of them end identically — south on Fannin Street to Leeland Street, then east to the garage. Transit is the opposite: METRO is named as an operator and nothing else, with no route, no rail line and no stop anywhere on the arena's pages.

**Driving.** The arena is at 1510 Polk Street. From US-59 north, exit Gray Ave/Pierce Ave, north on Gray Street to San Jacinto Street, north to Leeland Street then east. From US-59 south, exit Jackson Street, south to Congress Street, west to Fannin Street, south to Leeland then east. From I-45 north, exit Houston Ave/Memorial Drive, north on Memorial to Rusk Street, east to Fannin, south to Leeland then east. From I-45 south, exit McKinney Street east to Fannin, south to Leeland then east. From I-10 east, take I-45 south then the McKinney Street exit and the same route. From I-10 west, take US-59 south downtown, exit Hamilton Street south to Congress, west to Fannin, south to Leeland then east. The Toyota Tundra Garage has four colour-coded pass levels with separate entrances on Jackson, Leeland and La Branch Streets.

**Public transit.** The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County runs routes near the arena, but the arena names no route and publishes no stop — it gives METRO's number, 713-635-4000, and a link. Plan that leg from METRO's own map.

**Rideshare.** Uber/Lyft drop-off on La Branch Street, west of the arena. Pickup zones on Jackson Street post-game. Expect moderate surge pricing.

## Tailgating

The most important fact about parking at Toyota Center is a negative one: the arena's own 2,500-space Tundra Garage is not available to non-passholders on Rockets game days at all. Around 10,000 spaces sit within a few blocks instead. The garage, when it is open to you, takes three pass-coloured entrances off Jackson and Leeland Streets and opens 90 minutes before the event's door time. Bags cap at 10 by 6 by 2 inches plus diaper and medical bags, all searched, and fans carrying bags must use designated bag entrances. Binbox lockers at the Jackson Street entrance and the Level 3 skybridge take an oversized bag from $10, non-refundable.

Toyota Center's concession program has improved significantly, reflecting Houston's status as one of America's great food cities. ## Game Day Timeline

Toyota Center is in downtown Houston's east side, near Discovery Green park and the George R. Brown Convention Center. The arena has been the Rockets' home since 2003. Houston is a sprawling, car-centric city, but the arena is accessible via METRORail light rail. The East Downtown (EaDo) neighborhood surrounding the arena has become a vibrant bar and restaurant scene. Houston's heat and humidity are a factor. Even October games require planning for the outdoor walk. NBA games run about 2.5 hours.
