## Seating

Ball Arena is a five-level building: two ordinary seating rings at 100 and 300, a club level between them, and a floor whose front rows are sold as memberships rather than tickets. Courtside here means rows CS through CS3, and three separate products — UMB Reserve, Club Lexus and the Ford Champions Club — all sell into that band with their own entrances and all-inclusive food and drink. The arena holds 89 suites across two levels, 1,900 club seats and two Theatre Boxes.

## Getting There

Ball Arena has its own light rail station — Ball Arena/Elitch Gardens, on four RTD lines — which makes it one of the few venues in this data where the train goes to the building rather than near it. Driving is organised around Auraria Parkway and the numbered streets off it, and the lots open three hours before an event.

**Driving.** From the south, take I-25 North toward Denver and exit at 210B for Auraria Parkway, merge onto Auraria Parkway, then turn left onto 7th, 9th or 11th Street to reach the arena grounds. From the north, take I-25 South, exit 212B toward downtown, turn left onto Speer Boulevard and right onto Chopper Circle at the second light. From downtown, head west on Speer Boulevard to Auraria Parkway, turn left, then right on 7th, 9th or 11th Street.

**Public transit.** The Ball Arena/Elitch Gardens station is served by four light rail lines — D, E, H and W — and you can walk straight into the grounds from it. An RTD bus stop sits adjacent to the arena at 9th Street and Auraria Parkway, served by multiple routes. The free MallRide shuttle runs the 16th Street Mall, currently on 15th and 17th Streets during reconstruction, connecting to Union Station.

**Rideshare.** Uber/Lyft drop-off is on Auraria Parkway, east side of the arena. Post-game surge is moderate. Walk toward LoDo for faster pickup.

**Walking.** On foot the arena is reached by the multi-use Cherry Creek Trail and the shared-use sidewalk along Auraria Parkway.

## Tailgating

Ball Arena is one of the few arenas in either league where a tailgate is permitted at all — the venue's own wording is that tailgating is allowed, but not encouraged. What that means in practice is a tailgate without the two things that usually define one: open consumption of alcohol is prohibited across every Toyota parking lot, and charcoal grills and log fires are both banned, leaving propane under 20 lbs as the only fuel. There are no designated tailgating areas, so you work within the spaces you actually bought, and the lots are monitored throughout. They open three hours before tip-off and take cards.

Pepsi Test Kitchen runs a barbecue menu of ribs and smoked half chickens, Nola Jane brings gumbo, jambalaya and a debris po'boy, and Zero Wheat Street is a dedicated gluten-free stand with its own pizza and pasta. A $5 Fan Friendly menu runs across several counters. Denver's altitude makes hydration matter as much as the beer, and outside the arena LoDo has one of the best restaurant and brewery scenes in the country.

The arena prohibits weapons and self-defense items, outside alcohol, drugs, cans and glass, hard coolers, drones, fireworks, large or pointed umbrellas, lasers, noisemakers, laptops, professional camera equipment, recording gear, selfie sticks, and oversized bags.
