These are transit fares, walks and drop-off points. | Option | Cost | Distance | Notes | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | No Transit | $0 | N/A | No public transit to the Arlington Entertainment District. Same as Cowboys - car only. | ### Parking tips - Pre-book parking through the Rangers website or SpotHero. Walk-up rates are $5-10 more on weekend games. - Texas Live! garage is the move if you want to pregame at the bars and walk to the game. - I-30 between Dallas and Fort Worth backs up on game days. Budget extra time from either direction. - Arlington has no public transit to Globe Life Field. You're driving or taking a rideshare. Plan accordingly. - Rideshare drop-off is on Randol Mill Road. Post-game, walk to Texas Live! for pickup to avoid the lot traffic. ## Seating Globe Life Field holds about 40,300 across seven seating levels under a retractable roof, which in Arlington is the entire reason the building exists. Two things separate it from older parks. Every seat in the building, at every level, is at least 19 inches wide, with 34 inches of tread in the lower bowl and 33 in the upper — a comfort floor most parks do not have. And the premium end is unusually deep: 12 field suites sit directly behind home plate, there are 71 long-term suites and 16 party suites holding anywhere from 30 to 420 people, and five separate lounges serve premium ticket holders. | Section | Price range | View | Pros | Cons | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Lexus Club / All-Inclusive Suites | $220 - $700+ | The Lexus Home Plate Club behind the plate, and the field suites directly behind it. | 12 field suites sit directly behind home plate — the closest enclosed space to the batter; All-inclusive food and beverage; Access to the ballpark's premium lounges | The most expensive way into Globe Life Field; Behind the plate means looking through the backstop netting | | Shift4 Club | $130 - $350 | Low-level club seating along the baselines, built as an homage to the old Globe Life Park. | Domestic and craft beer, upscale wine and buffet meals with rotating entrees and action stations included; In-seat food and beverage service; Low club seating down the first and third base lines rather than up in a ring | The buffet and the service are much of what the ticket buys; Baseline rather than behind the plate | | Balcones Speakeasy | $110 - $300 | A premium lounge space rather than a conventional seating block. | One of five lounges serving premium ticket holders, alongside the Evan Williams First Base Lounge and the Germania Third Base Lounge; A room to spend the evening in rather than only a seat | Check which seats the ticket actually carries | | Lower Home Plate (100-Level Infield) | $70 - $200 | | The closest ordinary seats to the action; 34 inches of tread in the lower bowl, which is generous legroom by any standard | The sections nearest the plate sit behind netting | | Lower Reserved (100-Level Outfield) | $35 - $110 | The lower bowl past the bases and into the outfield, looking back across the diamond. | Outside the netted zone | Angled across the play rather than into it; Home plate is a long way off from the corners | | Upper Reserved (200-Level) | $30 - $95 | The middle ring, set back with the whole field in one frame. | The full-field view without lower-bowl pricing; Still at least 19 inches of seat width, like every level here | Far enough up that faces stop being faces; A climb or a lift from the main concourse | | Upper Gallery (300-Level) | $15 - $45 | The top deck, high over the field and under the roof. | 33 inches of tread even up here, so the cheap seats are not cramped | Steep and distant; The furthest point from the plate in the building | Official seat map: https://www.mlb.com/rangers/ballpark/seat-map ## Getting There Globe Life Field solves arrival by giving every parking lot its own street address, so you navigate to your lot rather than to the ballpark — a sensible answer in the Arlington Entertainment District, where the stadium itself is not the useful destination. What it never mentions is transit, which is consistent: Arlington is the largest US city with no public transit system of its own. **Driving.** Each lot, presented by Toyota, has its own address that opens directly in a map app, so route to the lot rather than the ballpark. The Lexus Lot is at 715 Stadium Drive on the east side, reachable from Stadium Drive northbound or southbound; Tacoma Lot R is entered through R1 on Cowboys Way. All lots are cashless and passes live in the MLB Ballpark app, bought in advance or at the lot entry. There is a strict no in-and-out policy with no refunds. **Public transit.** The ballpark names no transit route and publishes no stop on either its own site or the club's — neither covers public transport at all. **Rideshare.** Uber/Lyft drop-off is on Randol Mill Road near the main entrance. Post-game, walk to Texas Live! for pickup to avoid the lot congestion. Expect 25-40 minutes from downtown Dallas or Fort Worth. ### Transit options | Option | Price | Notes | | --- | --- | --- | | TRE (from Dallas Union Station) to CentrePort/DFW | $6 | Trinity Railway Express from Dallas or Fort Worth to CentrePort/DFW station, then shuttle or rideshare to the ballpark | | Rideshare (from Dallas/Fort Worth) | $25 | Uber/Lyft from downtown Dallas or Fort Worth, about 25-40 minutes depending on I-30 traffic | | Parking (driving is the primary option) | $0 | Arlington has no public transit to the ballpark, driving and parking is the default for most fans | ## Before the Game Globe Life Field inverts the usual tailgating geometry. Tailgating and all its set-up — tents, grills, tables, chairs — is permitted only on the grassy areas surrounding the parking lots, never in a parking space: the spaces are for vehicles and vehicles only. It is permitted across most Rangers lots but not in Lots A, B or T. The window is generous at both ends, running from the moment the lots open through to the end of the second inning, and then again for up to an hour after the final out. ### Rules - Tailgating is permitted in most Rangers parking lots, but not in Lots A, B or T. - Tailgating and all set-up — tents, grills, tables, chairs and similar — is permitted only in the grassy areas surrounding the parking lots. - Parking spaces are for vehicles only and may not be used for tents, grills, chairs or other items. - Tailgating is permitted from the time the parking lots open until the end of the second inning. - Post-game tailgating is allowed for up to one hour after the final out. - Shuttle service runs from when the lots open, generally about 30 minutes before the gates. ### Best areas | Area | Description | | --- | --- | | The grassy areas around the lots | The only ground where a tailgate may be set up. Tents, grills, tables and chairs all go here rather than in a parking bay, because the bays are for vehicles only. | | The general Rangers lots | Most of the parking around the ballpark permits tailgating on the adjacent grass. Lots typically open around 3.5 hours before first pitch with gates at 2.5 hours, though this varies by event. | | Lots A, B and T | The three lots where tailgating is not allowed at all, whatever the grass beside them looks like. | | The post-game hour | Tailgating resumes after the game and runs up to an hour past the final out, which makes the lot a way to let the Arlington traffic clear. | ## Food & Drink Globe Life Field leans into Texas food culture: Arlington's own Hurtado Barbeque, Whataburger, Golden Chick, a Texas ribeye sandwich at Section 106, and the legendary Boomstick (a 2-foot-long hot dog loaded with chili, cheese, and jalapenos) at 132. The park opened in 2020 with a modern food program that goes well beyond standard ballpark fare. Local craft beer from Deep Ellum and Rahr & Sons is available throughout. Outside, Texas Live! offers a full range of restaurants and bars within a 5-minute walk. ### $1 Hot Dog Wednesdays (published by the venue) Selected games only. Wednesday home games. Sundays add $1 ice cream for kids 13 and under. | Item | Price | | --- | --- | | Hot Dog | $1 | These are the venue's own figures. The prices elsewhere in this document are researched estimates of standard concession pricing. ### Nearby restaurants | Name | Cuisine | Price range | Rating | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Pappadeaux Seafood Kitchen | Seafood Restaurant | $$$ | 4.4 | | Ojos Locos Sports Cantina - Arlington | Sports Bar | $$ | 4.3 | | Soy Cowboy | Restaurant | $$ | 4.2 | | Cicis Pizza | Pizza Restaurant | $ | 4.1 | | McDonald's | Fast Food Restaurant | $ | 3.9 | | Buffalo Wild Wings | Chicken Wings Restaurant | $$ | 3.7 | | Panda Express | Chinese Restaurant | $ | 3.6 | | El Toro Sinaloense Arlington | Seafood Restaurant | $$ | 3.5 | ## Game Day Timeline Globe Life Field is in the Arlington Entertainment District, sandwiched between AT&T Stadium (Cowboys) and Texas Live!, a massive bar and restaurant complex. The park opened in 2020 with a retractable roof designed to beat the brutal Texas heat, a game-changer after decades at the old open-air ballpark across the street. The 2023 World Series was played here. The Boomstick (a 2-foot-long hot dog) is the signature food item. Arlington sits between Dallas and Fort Worth with no direct public transit, so driving is the reality for most fans. | Time | What happens | Detail | | --- | --- | --- | | 3 hours before first pitch | Arrive at the Entertainment District | Head to the Arlington Entertainment District for pregame. Texas Live! is the hub, multiple bars and restaurants in one complex directly across from the ballpark. | | 2 hours before first pitch | Texas Live! pregame | PBR Texas, Troy's, and Guy Fieri's Taco Joint fill with Rangers fans. Cold beer and Tex-Mex fuel the pregame scene. | | Gates open (90 minutes before first pitch) | Enter Globe Life Field | Walk through the main entrance on Randol Mill Road. The retractable roof status is announced on the Rangers app. It's usually closed from May through September. | | 60 minutes before first pitch | Watch batting practice and explore | Walk the concourse, Globe Life Field is modern with wide open spaces. The left-field porch is a good spot for BP homers. | | 30 minutes before first pitch | Grab food and find your seat | The brisket sandwich and Boomstick are the signature items. Lines build fast. Go now or during BP. | | First pitch | Play ball | Nine innings of climate-controlled baseball. The retractable roof keeps it around 72°F inside even when it's 100°F outside. | | 7th inning stretch | Deep in the Heart of Texas | The crowd sings 'Deep in the Heart of Texas', clap along. Grab a final round before the late innings. | | Post-game | Head back to Texas Live! | Walk across to Texas Live! for postgame drinks or head to your car. The lots clear in 20-30 minutes. | ## Lodging | Hotel | Per night | Distance | | --- | --- | --- | | Loews Arlington Hotel & Convention Center | $180 | 0.2 miles | | Live! by Loews - Arlington, Texas | $180 | 0.2 miles | | Courtyard by Marriott Dallas Arlington/Entertainment District | $180 | 0.8 miles | | Hyatt Place Dallas/Arlington | $180 | 1.1 miles | | Holiday Inn Arlington NE-Rangers Ballpark by IHG | $180 | 1.1 miles | ## Typical Weather | Month | High (F) | Low (F) | Precipitation | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | April | 74 | 54 | 3.3 inches | | May | 82 | 63 | 4.7 inches | | June | 90 | 72 | 3.8 inches | | July | 94 | 75 | 2.5 inches | | August | 95 | 74 | 2.4 inches | | September | 88 | 67 | 3.5 inches | | October | 77 | 55 | 4.8 inches | ## Verified Venue Policies ### Accessible entry Complimentary accessible shuttles run from Rangers parking lots to Globe Life Field gates on a first-come, first-served basis.
