MetroLink light rail to Stadium station. Ballpark Village adjacent for pregame. Same city/transit as Blues. Affordable parking ($5-15). | Lot | Price | Distance | Notes | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Busch Stadium Garages | $25 | 0.1-0.3 miles | Official garages at Busch Stadium in downtown St. Louis. | | Downtown STL Lots | $10 | 0.2-0.5 miles | Surface lots and garages downtown. Very affordable. | ### Getting here without a car Not parking. These are transit fares, walks and drop-off points. | Option | Cost | Distance | Notes | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | MetroLink Light Rail | $3 | 0.1 miles from station | MetroLink to Stadium station, right at Busch Stadium. Same transit as Blues (Enterprise Center). | ### Parking tips - The MetroLink to Stadium Station is the easiest option, the stop is steps from the ballpark entrance. - Pre-book the Stadium East Garage online for premium games. It sells out for Cardinals-Cubs rivalry series. - Private lots south of the stadium on Broadway are half the price of the official garages. - Post-game traffic on I-64 and I-70 backs up for 20-30 minutes. Stay at Ballpark Village and let it clear. - If driving from Illinois, park at a MetroLink station on the east side and ride across. ## Seating Busch Stadium sells by named area rather than by level alone: the Cardinals Club sits behind the plate in sections 1-8, the Diamond Box rings the infield at 140-145 and 155-160, and the Infield Field Box fills in at 141-144 and 156-160. Above them the Terrace and Upper Deck stack toward the Arch, and the Budweiser Terrace occupies levels 3 and 4 in right field as a gathering space rather than a seating block. There are bars on every level. | Section | Price range | View | Pros | Cons | | --- | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Cardinals Club (Sections 1-8) | $180 - $450+ | Directly behind home plate in sections 1 through 8, on the axis of every pitch. | The best sightline in the ballpark for watching an at-bat; Club service behind the seats rather than the general concourse | Every one of sections 1-8 has netting or screening in front of it; The most expensive seats at Busch | | Infield Diamond Box | $120 - $350 | The lower bowl ringing the infield at sections 140-145 and 155-160, level with the field. | Closest ordinary seats to the infield action; Straight onto the main concourse | The sections nearest the plate carry netting | | Field Box | $60 - $180 | The lower bowl beyond the Diamond Box, running out toward the corners at sections 141-144 and 156-160 and beyond. | Lower-bowl seats at well under Diamond Box money; Level with the field the whole way round | The corner sections angle across the diamond rather than into it; Little cover from sun or rain | | Redbird Club | $100 - $280 | A club space rather than a seating block, used for larger dinners and events as well as games. | Indoor club space, which an open-air St Louis summer makes worth having; Doubles as a function room, so the space is a real one rather than a wide concourse | Sold as hospitality and often booked for events; Check what view the ticket actually carries before buying | | Terrace Level | $30 - $100 | The middle deck, set back with the whole field, the outfield walls and the Gateway Arch beyond them. | The classic Busch Stadium view — field and Arch in one frame; Genuinely cheap for a full-field sightline | Far enough up that faces stop being faces; A climb from the main concourse | | Budweiser Terrace (Levels 3-4, Right Field) | $35 - $90 | A gathering space on levels 3 and 4 in right field, looking back across the outfield. | A social space with a bar rather than a row of seats; Right-field height, so you see the whole outfield play | Not a seat — the wrong ticket for nine innings sitting down; Home plate is at the far corner | | Upper Deck Bleachers | $15 - $50 | The top deck, high over the field with the Arch on the skyline beyond. | Among the cheapest tickets at Busch; The widest view of the park and downtown St Louis | Bench seating rather than seats with backs; Steep, and exposed to the sun | | Rooftop Terrace / Standing Room | $10 - $35 | Standing room and rooftop space rather than an assigned seat. | The cheapest way into the ballpark; Freedom to move between the bars on every level | No assigned seat; The good rail positions go early on a warm night | Official seat map: https://www.mlb.com/cardinals/ballpark/seat-map/3d ## Getting There Busch Stadium's directions page carries something almost no other venue publishes: a live road-closure bulletin sitting above the routes, naming which ramps and bridges are shut this week. Seven routes are published, most funnelling to Exit 40A and a right onto Clark Street. Transit is absent, which is notable given the MetroLink station a few blocks away that the Blues' arena page documents in detail. **Driving.** The stadium is at 700 Clark Street. From the north on I-55 South, continue onto I-64 in Missouri, take Exit 40A toward Stadium/Tucker Blvd and turn right at Clark St — the stadium is one block along on the right. From the south on I-55 North, take Exit 208 onto Park Ave toward 7th St, left at 7th and right at Clark. From the east on I-70 West or I-64 West, join I-64 and use the same Exit 40A. From the west on I-64 East, take Exit 40B for 6th St then Exit 39C toward 11th St/Stadium and turn right at Clark, three blocks along. From I-70 East, take the Convention Center/Broadway/Busch Stadium exit 249C onto N Broadway and turn right at Clark. **Public transit.** The stadium's own pages name no transit route and publish no stop — the transportation section covers directions, parking and rideshare only. Plan a MetroLink or MetroBus leg from the operator's map. **Rideshare.** Uber/Lyft drop-off is on Clark Avenue near the main entrance (Gate 1). Post-game pickup is on Spruce Street south of the stadium. About 15 minutes from the Central West End or Clayton. Surge pricing kicks in after the final out. ### Transit options | Option | Price | Notes | | --- | --- | --- | | MetroLink to Stadium Station | $2.50 | The Stadium MetroLink stop is directly adjacent to the ballpark, quick access from downtown, the airport, and Metro East Illinois | | MetroBus Downtown Circulator | $1 | Bus service connecting downtown hotels, the Arch grounds, and the Stadium District on game days | | Rideshare (from Clayton/CWE) | $15 | Uber/Lyft from the Central West End or Clayton neighborhoods, about 15 minutes to the stadium | ## Before the Game Busch Stadium's parking terms are explicit that licensees may not have barbecues or other tailgating activities, so the pregame here is Ballpark Village next door rather than a lot. The lots themselves open unusually early — five hours before first pitch — and close an hour after the game. Stadium gates open 90 minutes before game time Monday to Thursday and two hours Friday to Sunday. The club sells its own game-day parking at three named sites, all delivered digitally through the MLB Ballpark app. ### Rules - Under the parking terms and conditions, licensees may not have barbecues or other tailgating activities. - On gamedays the parking lots open five hours prior to the scheduled first pitch and close one hour after the event concludes. - Busch Stadium gates open 90 minutes before game time Monday to Thursday, and two hours before game time Friday to Sunday. - Individual gameday parking is sold by the club at the All-Star Lot (611 S. 8th Street), the One Cardinal Way Garage (269 S. Broadway) and the Bus/Oversized Vehicle Lot (1001 S. 6th Street). - All parking passes are delivered digitally via the MLB Ballpark app. ### Best areas | Area | Description | | --- | --- | | Ballpark Village | The entertainment, dining and residential district next to the stadium, with restaurants, bars and its own tickets to watch the game from beyond the left-field wall. This is the pregame, given the lots permit none. | | The All-Star Lot, 611 S. 8th Street | One of three sites where the club sells individual game-day parking directly, with the pass delivered digitally through the MLB Ballpark app. | | One Cardinal Way Garage, 269 S. Budweiser, brewed in St. Louis since 1876, is the default beer, with Schlafly covering the craft side. The $5 Cardinals Value Menu — hot dog, soda, popcorn, nachos — runs at four stands every home game. Across Clark Street, Ballpark Village keeps the party going before and after. ### Cardinals Value Menu (published by the venue) Available at every home game. | Item | Price | | --- | --- | | Hot Dog | $5 | | Nachos | $5 | | Popcorn | $5 | | Soda | $5 | These are the venue's own figures. The prices elsewhere in this document are researched estimates of standard concession pricing. ### Nearby restaurants | Name | Cuisine | Price range | Rating | | --- | --- | --- | --- | | Broadway Oyster Bar | Seafood Restaurant | $$ | 4.6 | | STL City Grill | Restaurant | $$ | 4.6 | | Sauce on the Side | Restaurant | $$ | 4.6 | | Ballpark Village | Sports Bar | $$ | 4.5 | | Sugarfire Smoke House | Barbecue Restaurant | $$ | 4.5 | | 360 Rooftop Bar | Restaurant | $$ | 4.4 | | Katie's Pizza & Pasta at Ballpark Village | Restaurant | $$ | 4.4 | | Salt + Smoke | Barbecue Restaurant | $$ | 4.2 | ## Game Day Timeline Busch Stadium sits in the heart of downtown St. Louis with the Gateway Arch rising beyond the outfield, one of the most iconic backdrops in baseball. The Cardinals are the most successful franchise in NL history (11 World Series titles), and their fans are routinely called the 'Best Fans in Baseball.' The pregame scene centers on Ballpark Village, a massive entertainment complex directly adjacent to the stadium with bars, restaurants, and a rooftop viewing deck.
